libfdt1 software package provides Flat Device Trees manipulation library, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfdt1
libfdt1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfdt1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfdt1 *
You will get with libfdt1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
